C10G SOM – Thermal Analysis and Power Dissipation¶
This document outlines the power consumption and thermal performance of the C10G SOM under various heatsink and fan configurations. All tests were run using the devkit reference design available here:
Critical Link MitySOM-C10G Reference Project – pro_24.1_stable
- Processor Clock: 100 MHz
- Transceiver Reference Clock: 100 MHz
- Transceiver Data Clock: 8GHz
- Temperature readings obtained using the
tempvolt
console command - Ambient temperature held at 21 °C

Notes¶
- ATS-61290W-C1-R0: The MAXIGRIP clip does not attach properly to the SoC due to clearance issues. The fan was attached directly using thermal tape.
- External fans used were Sanyo Denki 9G1224G101.
- Temperature rise is calculated as ΔT = Device Temp − Ambient Temp.
- The FJ29 fansink is the recommended solution as it clips tightly onto the SOC on the SOM
