All ones sounds like the FPGA got it's program pin pulled (it was reset). Is it possible you are driving P8 to Low? Or any other pins in your walking pattern? On the MityDSP, driving P8 of the FPGA low will reset the on-board 6711 pro... Michael Williamson

I've developed a JTAG test for our mothercard that the Mity DSP plugs into. I use the Xilinx JTAG to the FPGA on the Mity-DSP to walk a
one pattern on a 32-bit data bus to an Altera FPGA on the Mity-DSPs host card. All works smoothly ... Julio Liriano

You should check with TI regarding the software that is supported for any version of CCS.
We have successfully used CCS 5 and CCS 3.3 on Windows 7 (32 or 64) and XP (32 or 64). We have not used Windows 8 here for development yet.

Do you guys have any experience using CCS with Windows 7-64 or Windows 8 (either 32 or 64?

We tried an install on Win 8-64 and it installed but did not run. Haven't
had time to investigate more though.
