TC 08:27 PM PCB Development: RE: schematic of MityARM-3359
Thank you, Jason. I sent you an e-mail. Tom Thomas Catalino
JA 03:22 AM PCB Development: RE: schematic of MityARM-3359
Hello, Thomas
Could you also send me a copy of your MityARM 335X schematic to me ( PDF version and Altium format), we're very interested in your modules, and a HMI deivce project will be designed based on the modules.
Best Regards ...

MW 02:55 PM Software Development: RE: Critical Link Kernel integration w/ Angstrom/OpenEmbedded
Hello Ali,
I've been watching TI and other folks working against the mainline kernel with AM335x, and it looks far from stable as compared PSP stuff -- though there is a lot of work going on in this area. This is primarily due to the...

AS 01:19 PM Software Development: RE: Critical Link Kernel integration w/ Angstrom/OpenEmbedded
Hello Mike,
I've been poking around some more with Angstrom 2012.05 and Qt5 on our Beaglebone development systems.
It looks like the arago kernel actually has a v3.2-staging branch for integrating AM33X support into the upstream ke...

AS 11:12 AM PCB Development: RE: Reg. ethernet Transciever
Hi Salam,
the VSC8601 is a unique Vitesse part and has no IT range drop in replacements in same package with same pin-out.

MW 08:55 PM Software Development: RE: Creating a small basic system
Hi Keith,
It's quite possible that the images I posted (built from openembedded / Angstrom reference images) don't have ubifs support. I only booted the images via NFS to "smoke-test" them and haven't tried booting them out of FLASH ...

KF 08:41 PM Software Development: RE: Creating a small basic system
Hi Tim and Mike,
Thanks for your help with the filesystems - I grabbed one of the the new small filesystems from the Wiki and attempted to use it from NAND.
I followed the processes in the TI documents, UBIFS Support and AM335x U-Boo...

MW 11:13 AM Software Development: RE: Creating a small basic system
Hi Keith,
I updated the wiki about building a rootfs from scratch with open embedded and posted some files (SDKs and a couple of filesystems) that you might try if you are stuck and can't wait for Timesys to come online.
We haven't...

Keith,
There are a few different ways to go about this...
- We have a smaller base FS I can get you. The catch is that it has not been thoroughly vetted. It should be fine, but it was built with a newer toolchain, etc and it has not ha...

KF 12:20 AM Software Development: Creating a small basic system
Hi I am attempting to create a basic filesystem, that is small enough to fit on the NAND, however the link provided in the Root Filesystem Wiki Page (Installing Open Embedded) goes to a non-existant page. I tried using the ARM9 wiki as a... Keith Fletcher

KF 05:11 PM Software Development: RE: Booting without the SD card
Thanks Mike and Tim,
Managed to get the MityARM-3359 to boot without SD card - upto requiring a filesystem. I used a combination of your pages and the suggested TI pages (TI had an extra step of "nandecc hw 2" before the nand writes, an...

AS 11:34 AM PCB Development: Reg. ethernet Transciever
Hi,
In MityArm 3359 carrier Board has been used one VSC8601 ethernet ic, but it will not support for the industrial temperature range,So could you please suggest one RGMII Tranciever with same pin to pin compatibility( VSC8601).

MW 07:44 PM Software Development: RE: Booting without the SD card
Hi Keith,
Currently, the MityARM-3359 does not come with the NOR or NAND preprogrammed with u-Boot or a kernel.
The MityARM-3359 supports first stage bootloading (i.e., loading u-Boot) from NAND. It can boot from a SPI-NOR device ...

KF 05:17 PM Software Development: Booting without the SD card
Hi,
I have a 3359 development kit, SN 120806, and want to boot it from SPI NOR (Kernal)and NAND (filesystem), pretty much like I do with a Mity1808. However I can not get into uBoot without the SD card, and I can not find any instuction...

TI 06:56 PM Software Development: RE: Ethernet using RGMII2

You can certainly load the kernel and mount the root filesystem over the network on the dev board, we do it all the time.
What you can't do (on the dev board) is boot completely over the network (i.e. have the ROM bootloader load ...

We are planning to use ethernet for mounting the filesystem on the network and to connect to the device over ethernet.
Is this possible with the pin mux configuration mentioned in Evalboard? Configuration used is: gpmc_a0.rgmii2_...
